Paratypes: CAS 43499-500 (1, 4); LACM 38386-1 (5); UCD 382-05-01 (5); USNM 219834 (4). •Valid as Trematomus peninsulae (Daniels 1981) -- (Eastman & Eakin 2021:[3] [ref. 38307]). •Valid as Cryothenia peninsulae Daniels 1981 -- (Pequeño 1989:64 [ref. 14125], DeWitt et al. 1990:284 [ref. 21696], Miller 1993:237 [ref. 21297], Eastman & Eakin 2000:15 [ref. 24631], Balushkin 2000:S97 [ref. 29555], Cziko & Cheng 2006:752 [ref. 28921]). Current status: Valid as Cryothenia peninsulae Daniels 1981. Nototheniidae: Trematominae. Distribution: Southwestern Atlantic. Habitat: marine.
