Holotype: BMNH 1968.8.30.28. Paratypes: (9 of following) BMNH 1968.8.30.29-38 (10). •Valid as Haplochromis fusiformis Greenwood & Gee 1969 -- (van Oijen et al. 1991:127 [ref. 20956]). •Valid as Yssichromis fusiformis (Greenwood & Gee 1969) based on placement of type species. Current status: Valid as Yssichromis fusiformis (Greenwood & Gee 1969). Cichlidae: Pseudocrenilabrinae. Distribution: Eastern Africa: Lake Victoria. Habitat: freshwater.
