Holotype: WAM P.19164-001. Paratypes: WAM P.19165-001 (1), P.19166-001 (1). Type catalog: Fricke 1982:56 [ref. 5432], Hutchins & Smith 1991:38 [ref. 19335], Moore et al. 2008:42 [ref. 30117]. McKay indicated that he regarded the genus as mascline (needs research). •Valid as Centrodraco insolitus (McKay 1971) -- (Fricke 1982:56 [ref. 5432], Fricke 1992:174 [ref. 20038], Adam et al. 1998:13 [ref. 23610], Fricke 2001:3573 [ref. 26292], Hutchins 2001:42 [ref. 25847], Fricke 2002:69 [ref. 26547], Fricke 2002:6, 7 [ref. 26581], Hoese 2006:1593 [ref. 28998], Fricke 2010:344, 345 [ref. 30772], Fricke 2015:215 [ref. 34018]). Current status: Valid as Centrodraco insolitus (McKay 1971). Draconettidae. Distribution: Indian Ocean: northwestern Australia. Habitat: marine.
