Holotype (unique): RMNH 26468 [ex RMNH 4774]. Current status: Valid as Meiacanthus anema (Bleeker 1852). Blenniidae: Blenniinae. Distribution: Indo-West Pacific and central Pacific: Indonesia east to Solomon Islands, north to Philippines, south to New Caledonia and Vanuatu. Habitat: freshwater, brackish, marine.
