Lectotype selected by Gill et al. 1991:75 [ref. 19722]; the paralectotype is also a paratype of Pseudoplesiops collare Gill et al. 1991. •Valid as Pseudoplesiops annae (Weber 1913) -- (Paxton et al. 1989:521 [ref. 12442], Gill et al. 1991:75 [ref. 19722], Gill 1999:2567 [ref. 24817], Gill in Randall & Lim 2000:611 [ref. 25122], Allen 2000:99 [ref. 25868], Allen & Adrim 2003:33 [ref. 26830], Gill & Edwards 2003:6 [ref. 27432], Allen & Erdmann 2012:321 [ref. 31980]). Current status: Valid as Pseudoplesiops annae (Weber 1913). Pseudochromidae: Pseudoplesiopinae. Distribution: Western Pacific: Eastern Indonesia and Papua New Guinea to the Philippines and Solomon Islands, north to Ryukyu Islands, south to Vanuatu, Great Barrier Reef (Australia) and the Coral Sea. Habitat: marine.
