The gender of Tilodon is masculine. •Valid as Tilodon sexfasciatum (Richardson 1842) -- (Kuiter 1993:215 [ref. 23929], Hutchins 2001:264 [ref. 25841], Hutchins 2001:36 [ref. 25847], Knudsen & Clements 2013:78 [ref. 33031]). •Valid as Tilodon sexfasciatus (Richardson 1842) -- (Hoese & Bray 2006:1326 [ref. 29000], Gomon 2008:605 [ref. 30616], Hoschke et al. 2019:157 [ref. 36626]). Current status: Valid as Tilodon sexfasciatus (Richardson 1842). Microcanthidae. Distribution: Southeastern Indian Ocean: Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia and Western Australia. Habitat: marine.
