Lobochilotes is of feminine gender. •Valid as Lobochilotes labiata (Boulenger 1898) -- (Maréchal & Poll 1991:248 [ref. 20946] as labiatus, Poll & Gosse 1995:231 [ref. 24781] as labiatus, De Vos et al. 2001:130 [ref. 26059] as labiatus, Kullander & Roberts 2012:362 [ref. 31751] as labiatus, Konings 2015:266 [ref. 34660] as labiatus, Konings 2019:281 [ref. 36983] as labiatus). Current status: Valid as Lobochilotes labiata (Boulenger 1898). Cichlidae: Pseudocrenilabrinae. Distribution: Eastern Africa: Lake Tanganyika and Lukuga River basin. Habitat: freshwater.
