decemdigitatus, Trypterigium Clarke [F. E.] 1879:292, Pl. 15 (lower right) [Transactions and Proceedings of the New Zealand Institute v. 11 (art. 25) (for 1878); ref. 18006] Dusky Sound, New Zealand. Holotype (unique): whereabouts unknown. Correct spelling of the genus is Tripterygion; species epithet apparently should be spelled decemdigitatum when in Tripterygion. •Valid as Ruanoho decemdigitatus (Clarke 1879) -- (Hardy 1986:158 [ref. 6139], Paulin et al. 1989:219 [ref. 24556], Paulin & Roberts 1992:78 [ref. 24625], Fricke 1994:521 [ref. 21827], Fricke 1997:585 [ref. 23339], Jawad & Clements 2004:87 [ref. 27725], Wellenreuther & Clements 2008:575 [ref. 30937], Fricke 2009:33 [ref. 30394], Patzner et al. 2009:448 [ref. 30396], Feary et al. 2009:1704 [ref. 30938], Stewart & Clements 2015:1521 [ref. 34299], Stewart et al. 2021:129 [ref. 38356]). Current status: Valid as Ruanoho decemdigitatus (Clarke 1879). Tripterygiidae: Tripterygiinae. Distribution: Southwestern Pacific: New Zealand region. Habitat: marine.
