Current status: Valid as Amblyeleotris aurora (Polunin & Lubbock 1977). Gobiidae: Gobiinae. Distribution: Indian Ocean: South Africa and RĂ©union (western Mascarenes) east to Andaman Sea (Andaman Islands, Myanmar and Thailand) and north-western Sumatra. Habitat: marine.
