Type catalog: Hutchins & Smith 1991:18 [ref. 19335], Moore et al. 2008:19 [ref. 30117], Anderson 2018:40 [ref. 36146]. •Valid as Anthias georgei Allen 1976 -- (Paxton et al. 1989:502 [ref. 12442]). •Questionably the same as Pseudanthias rubrolineatus (Fourmanoir & Rivaton 1979) -- (Motomura et al. 2010:119 [ref. 31101]). •Valid as Pseudanthias georgei (Allen 1976) -- (Randall & Pyle 2001:34 [ref. 25690], Hutchins 2001:30 [ref. 25847], Allen et al. 2006:993 [ref. 29078], Anderson 2018:40 [ref. 36146], Parenti & Randall 2020:36 [ref. 37354], Wada et al. 2021:110 [ref. 38530]). Current status: Valid as Pseudanthias georgei (Allen 1976). Anthiadidae. Distribution: Eastern Indian Ocean: off Western Australia. Habitat: marine.
