Holotype: USNM 207358. Paratypes: AMS I.16483-001 (2), I.16484-001 (1); USNM 207359 (2). Appears to be a hybrid species -- (Allen & Erdmann 2012:572 [ref. 31980]). •Valid as Amphiprion leucokranos Allen 1973 -- (Allen 1991:237 [ref. 19344], Allen 2001:3349 [ref. 26132], Allen & Erdmann 2012:572 [ref. 31980], Fricke et al. 2019:207 [ref. 36673], Parenti 2021:46 [ref. 38418], Allen & Erdmann 2024:633 [ref. 40796]). Current status: Valid as Amphiprion leucokranos Allen 1973. Pomacentridae: Pomacentrinae. Distribution: Western Pacific: West Papua (Indonesia) and Papua New Guinea to Solomon Islands. Habitat: marine.
