Current status: Valid as Pseudanthias lunulatus (Kotthaus 1973). Anthiadidae. Distribution: Red Sea; Indian Ocean: KwaZulu-Natal (South Africa), Somalia, Maldives, Mascarenes (Mauritius), and Bali (Indonesia). Habitat: marine.
