Holotype: BMNH 1968.8.30.197. Paratypes: BMNH 1968.8.30.198-214 (17), 1968.8.30.215-219 (5). •Valid as Haplochromis cryptogramma Greenwood & Gee 1969 -- (van Oijen et al. 1991:119 [ref. 20956]). Current status: Valid as Haplochromis cryptogramma Greenwood & Gee 1969. Cichlidae: Pseudocrenilabrinae. Distribution: Eastern Africa: Lake Victoria. Habitat: freshwater.
