Original genus should have been spelled Tetraodon. •Valid as Xenopterus naritus (Richardson 1848) -- (Talwar & Jhingran 1991:1062 [ref. 20764], Kottelat et al. 1993:175 [ref. 23448], Matsuura in Randall & Lim 2000:649 [ref. 25122]). •Valid as Chonerhinos naritus (Richardson 1848) -- (Ebert 2001:67 [ref. 25494], Kottelat 2013:475 [ref. 32989], Psomadakis et al. 2020:621 [ref. 37272]). Current status: Valid as Chonerhinos naritus (Richardson 1848). Tetraodontidae. Distribution: South and southeast Asia: Myanmar, Indochina and Indonesia. Habitat: freshwater, brackish.
