Paralectotypes: MSNG 9102 (6, 5 not this species). Type catalog: Tortonese 1940:140 [ref. 21559]. Lectotype apparently established by Tortonese 1934 by use of holotype (see Coad 1985:173 [ref. 9663]); also designated by Tortonese 1961:187 [ref. 10343]. •Synonym of Leuciscus lepidus (Heckel 1843) -- (Coad 1985:173 [ref. 9663], Coad 1991:18 [ref. 15702], Coad 1995:19 [ref. 23608]). •Valid as Alburnus doriae De Filippi 1865 -- (Bogutskaya et al. 2000:62 [ref. 24445], Bogutskaya & Coad 2009:170 [ref. 30270], Coad 2009:63 [ref. 30710], Falahatkar et al. 2015:323 [ref. 35421], Mohammadian-Kalat et al. 2017:491 [ref. 35603], Esmaeili et al. 2018:15 [ref. 36089], Jouladeh-Roudbar et al. 2020:126 [ref. 37983], Çiçek et al. 2024:216 [ref. 40789]). Current status: Valid as Alburnus doriae De Filippi 1865. Leuciscidae: Leuciscinae. Distribution: Middle East: Zayandeh River drainage, Lake Namak basin and Karun River drainage (Iran). Habitat: freshwater.
