Holotype (unique): whereabouts unknown. •Valid as Euryglossa macrolepis (Bleeker 1858) -- (Mohsin & Ambak 1996:596 [ref. 27969]). •Valid as Brachirus macrolepis (Bleeker 1858) -- (Munroe 2001:3881 [ref. 26314], Manilo & Bogorodsky 2003:S122 [ref. 27377], Ummath et al. 2024:[8] [ref. 41632], Moazzam & Osmany 2025:575 [ref. 42495]). Current status: Valid as Brachirus macrolepis (Bleeker 1858). Soleidae. Distribution: Northern Indian Ocean and western Pacific: Pakistan east to Kalimantan (Indonesia). IUCN (2020): Data Deficient. Habitat: marine.
