Holotype (unique): whereabouts unknown. •Valid as Pseudorhombus oligolepis (Bleeker 1858) -- (Lindberg & Fedorov 1993:31 [ref. 21500], Kim & Youn 1994:107 [ref. 22286], Ohashi & Motomura 2011:84 [ref. 32413]). •Valid as Tarphops oligolepis (Bleeker 1858) -- (Amaoka 1969:108 [ref. 105], Amaoka in Masuda et al. 1984:347 [ref. 6441], Li & Wang 1995:147 [ref. 16193], Amaoka in Randall & Lim 2000:644 [ref. 25122], Nakabo 2000:1355 [ref. 25182], Shimizu 2001:43 [ref. 25799], Nakabo 2002:1355 [ref. 26193], Youn 2002:430, 681 [ref. 26218], Ho et al. 2009:9 [ref. 31461], Jeong in Kimura et al. 2018:292 [ref. 36460]). Current status: Valid as Tarphops oligolepis (Bleeker 1858). Paralichthyidae. Distribution: Northwestern Pacific: northern Vietnam and Taiwan to Korea and Japan. Habitat: marine.
