Holotype: FMNH 7587. Paratypes: FMNH 8841 (1), USNM 78379 (1). Type catalog: Ibarra & Stewart 1987:64 [ref. 12367], Vari & Howe 1991:32 [ref. 19022]. •Valid as Saccodon dariensis (Meek & Hildebrand 1913) -- (Pavanelli in Reis et al. 2003:48 [ref. 27061], Londoño-Burbano & Román-Valencia 2010:819 [ref. 30823], Pavanelli & Starnes 2015:197 [ref. 34056], DoNascimiento et al. 2017:36 [ref. 35633]). Current status: Valid as Saccodon dariensis (Meek & Hildebrand 1913). Parodontidae. Distribution: Panama and Atrato and Magdalena River basins: Colombia and Panama. Habitat: freshwater.
