minor, Tripterygium Kolombatović [G.] 1892:24 [Godicnje Izviesće C. K. Velike Realke u Splitu za Skolsku Godinu, Split v. 1891-1892; ref. 27542] Dalmatia, Adriatic Sea, Mediterranean Sea. No types known. Original genus should have been Tripterygion. Also appeared in Kolombatović 1904:190[9] [ref. 20233]. Apparently dates to 1892 as above; see footnote on p. 531 in Wheeler 1973 [ref. 7190]. Also in Kolombatović 1894:47 [ref. 18431]. •Synonym of Tripterygion melanurus Guichenot 1850, but a valid subspecies -- (Zander in Whitehead et al. 1986:1120 [ref. 13677], Hastings & Springer 2009:11 [ref. 31156]). •Synonym of Tripterygion melanurus Guichenot 1850 -- (Fricke 1997:587 [ref. 23339]). •Valid as Tripterygion minor Kolombatović 1892 -- (Wheeler 1973:531 [ref. 7190], Fricke et al. 2007:96 [ref. 29533], Fricke 2009:44 [ref. 30394], Patzner et al. 2009:449 [ref. 30396]). Current status: Valid as Tripterygion minor Kolombatović 1892. Tripterygiidae: Tripterygiinae. Distribution: Mediteranian Sea. Habitat: marine.
