Holotype: ZMYU Lpi 332 (lost). Paratypes: ZMYU Lpi 333-336 (4) (lost). Type catalog: Ferraris 2007:376 [ref. 29155]. Britz & Win 2010:66 says types destroyed. •Synonym of Silurus berdmorei (Blyth 1860) -- (Talwar & Jhingran 1991:588 [ref. 20764] as burmanicus). •Referred to genus Pterocryptis -- (Bornbusch 1991:1076 [ref. 16547], Burgess & Finley 1996:164 [ref. 22901]). •Valid as Pterocryptis burmanensis (Thant 1966) -- (Ng 1999:371 [ref. 24236], Ng & Chan 2005:54 [ref. 28371], Ferraris 2007:376 [ref. 29155] with author as Khin-Thant). •Valid as Silurus burmanensis Thant 1966 -- (Kottelat 2013:239 [ref. 32989]). Current status: Valid as Silurus burmanensis Thant 1966. Siluridae. Distribution: Inlé Lake, Myanmar. Habitat: freshwater.
