Current status: Valid as Neocentropogon trimaculatus Chan 1966. Synanceiidae: Tetraroginae. Distribution: Southeastern Indian Ocean, western Pacific: southern China and Taiwan north to southern Japan; northern Australia east to New Caledonia and Tonga Trench. Habitat: marine.
