C.] 1965:447, Pls. 1-2 [Bulletin of the Museum of Comparative Zoology v. 132 (no. 5); ref. 9200] About 5 miles off northwestern part of Little Bahama Bank, 27°23'N, 78°26'W, depth 212-225 fathoms. Holotype: USNM 198034. Paratypes: MCZ 41957-59 (1, 1, 1). •Valid as Raja bahamensis Bigelow & Schroeder 1965 -- (McEachran & Dunn 1998:286 [ref. 23312], McEachran & Carvalho 2003:560 [ref. 26985], Weigmann 2016:118 [ref. 34211]). •Valid in an unnamed new genus -- (Compagno 1999:493 [ref. 25589]). •Valid as Rostroraja bahamensis (Bigelow & Schroeder 1965) -- (Last et al. 2016:24 [ref. 34941] with question, Last et al. 2016:353 [ref. 35000]). Current status: Valid as Rostroraja bahamensis (Bigelow & Schroeder 1965). Rajidae. Distribution: Western Atlantic: Bahamas and southern Florida (U.S.A.). Habitat: marine.
