A.] 1965:393, Fig. 1 [Annals and Magazine of Natural History (Series 13) v. 7 (no. 79) (for 1964); ref. 9218] About 15 miles above Victoria Falls, between the Katambora rapids and the Victoria Falls, upper Zambezi River, Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe). Holotype (unique): AMG P1050 (damaged). Type catalog: Skelton & Stuart 1987:184 [ref. 12628], Ferraris 2007:138 [ref. 29155] Misspelled 'plaryprosopos' in figure caption on p. 394 of original description. •Valid as Clariallabes platyprosopos Jubb 1965 -- (Teugels 1986:68 [ref. 6193], Burgess 1989:145 [ref. 12860], Skelton 1993:235 [ref. 24071], Taverne & De Vos 1998:214 [ref. 23316], Skelton 2001:235 [ref. 27406], Ferraris 2007:138 [ref. 29155], Marshall 2011:165 [ref. 31755] wrongly dated 1964, Bruton et al. 2018:72 [ref. 36373], Skelton 2019:235 [ref. 36564]). Current status: Valid as Clariallabes platyprosopos Jubb 1965. Clariidae. Distribution: Southern Africa: Okavango and upper Zambezi River systems. Habitat: freshwater.
