Holotype (unique): USNM 204613. •Valid as Paragunnellichthys springeri Dawson 1970 -- (Dor 1984:253 [ref. 29757], Goren & Dor 1994:67 [ref. 25356], Bogorodsky & Randall 2018:[7] 245 [ref. 36492], Golani & Fricke 2018:164 [ref. 36273]). Current status: Valid as Paragunnellichthys springeri Dawson 1970. Microdesmidae: Microdesminae. Distribution: Northern Red Sea endemic: southern Sinai. Habitat: marine.
