acanthops, Vauclusella Whitley [G. P.] 1964:15 [Australian Naturalist v. 12 (pt 4); ref. 3721] Heron Island, Capricorn Group, Queensland, Australia. Holotype: AMS IB.4016. Paratypes: AMS IB.4023 (3, now 1), IB.4028 (5, now 7), IB 4076 (1). •Valid as Ceratobregma acanthops (Whitley 1964) -- (Holleman 1987:177 [ref. 6747], Fricke 1991:339 [ref. 19545], Fricke 1994:157 [ref. 21827], Fricke 1997:129 [ref. 23339], Williams & Fricke 2001:3534 [ref. 26288] dated 1965, Hoese 2006:1518 [ref. 28998], Fricke 2009:36 [ref. 30394], Patzner et al. 2009:444 [ref. 30396]). Current status: Valid as Ceratobregma acanthops (Whitley 1964). Tripterygiidae: Tripterygiinae. Distribution: Northeastern Australia. Habitat: marine.
