Paratypes: ANSP 98681 (1), RMNH 24608 (1), UF 211141 [ex UMML 11141] (1), UPRM 1127-28 (1, 1), USNM 179003 (1). Type catalog: Böhlke 1984:111 [ref. 13621]. Lipogramma is feminine, based on line as in lateral line or lines on the body; the correct species spelling is trilineata as originally proposed. •Valid as Lipogramma trilineatum Randall 1963 -- (Gilmore & Jones 1988:439 [ref. 12879], Gilmore 1997:782 [ref. 22975], Schmitter-Soto et al. 2000:158 [ref. 27754], Mooi & Gill 2003:1373 [ref. 27062], Smith et al. 2003:26 [ref. 27621], Nelson et al. 2004:130 [ref. 27807], McEachran & Fechhelm 2005:198 [ref. 28815], Page et al. 2013:134 [ref. 32708]). •Valid as Lipogramma trilineata Randall 1963 -- (Robins & Ray 1986:148 [ref. 23100], Baldwin et al. 2016:68 [ref. 34958], Baldwin et al. 2018:138, 153 [ref. 35754], Tornabene et al. 2018:92 [ref. 36382], Robertson et al. 2020:155 [ref. 38098]). Current status: Valid as Lipogramma trilineata Randall 1963. Grammatidae. Distribution: Western Atlantic. Habitat: marine.
