Type catalog: Ferraris 2007:380 [ref. 29155]. •Valid as Silurus lithophilus (Tomoda 1961) -- (Sawada in Masuda et al. 1984:59 [ref. 6441], Kobayakawa 1989:166 [ref. 13476], Burgess 1989:86 [ref. 12860], Kawanabe & Mizuno 1989:420 [ref. 25598], Kobayakawa 1992:25 [ref. 20430], Watanabe 1998:264 [ref. 23491], Nakabo 2000:279 [ref. 25086], Nakabo 2002:279 [ref. 26001], Ferraris 2007:380 [ref. 29155], Hibino & Tabata 2018:522 [ref. 36069], Chen et al. 2023:3 [ref. 41122], Chen et al. 2024:3 [ref. 41182]). Current status: Valid as Silurus lithophilus (Tomoda 1961). Siluridae. Distribution: East Asia: Lake Biwa and Lake Yogo (Japan). Habitat: freshwater.
