Type information: Pethiyagoda 1991:335 [ref. 20075]. •Synonym of Chela laubuca (Hamilton 1822) -- (Pethiyagoda 1991:59 [ref. 20075]). •Valid as Laubuka lankensis (Deraniyagala 1960) -- (Pethiyagoda et al. 2008:12 [ref. 29714], Kulabtong et al. 2012:93 [ref. 32008], Lalramliana et al. 2017:269 [ref. 35204], Sudasinghe et al. 2020:[16] [ref. 37590]). Current status: Valid as Laubuka lankensis (Deraniyagala 1960). Danionidae: Danioninae. Distribution: Rivers in the dry zone of Sri Lanka. Habitat: freshwater.
