Lectotype selected by Smith et al. 2024:118 [ref. 41349]. •Synonym of Neoconger mucronatus Girard 1858 -- (Smith 1989:60 [ref. 13285], Smith 1989:701 [ref. 13285], Melo & Caires 2016:2 [ref. 34981]). •Valid as Neoconger anaelisae (Tommasi 1960) -- (Smith et al. 2024:118 [ref. 41349]). Current status: Valid as Neoconger anaelisae (Tommasi 1960). Moringuidae. Distribution: Western Atlantic: off northern Brazil. Habitat: marine.
