Technically dates to reference above [Mar.]; also appeared in Meinken 1958:1 [ref. 26157, 1 Oct.]; technically there were syntypes, although a type was designated in ref. 26157 (and that can serve as lectotype designation) •Valid as Rasbora somphongsi Meinken 1958 -- (Brittan 1972:192-29 [ref. 12245] dated 1956, Doi 1997:13 [ref. 22832]). •Valid as Trigonostigma somphongsi (Meinken 1958) -- (Kottelat & Witte 1999:54 [ref. 23898], Kottelat 2013:170 [ref. 32989], Petsut et al. 2014:471 [ref. 33645], Tan 2020:422 [ref. 37544]).
