Paratypes: (many, plus allotype) CAS-SU 49513 (orig. 10, now 7), 68324 (1, c&s), DZVU [ex CAS-SU 49513] (1). Appeared first in Dahl 1958:30 [ref. 19187] if date of 18 June is correct for ref. 19187. •Synonym of Austrofundulus limnaeus Schultz 1949 -- (Taphorn & Thomerson 1978:414 [ref. 4337], Costa in Reis et al. 2003:527 [ref. 27061]). •Valid as Austrofundulus myersi Dahl 1958 -- (Lazara 2001:57 [ref. 25711], Hrbek et al. 2005:31 [ref. 28063], DoNascimiento et al. 2017:101 [ref. 35633]). Current status: Valid as Austrofundulus myersi Dahl 1958. Rivulidae: Rivulinae. Distribution: Lower Magdalena River, Colombia. Habitat: freshwater.
