Distribution: Indo-West Pacific: Aliwal Shoal (South Africa) and East Africa east to Hawaiian Islands (U.S.A.), Marquesas Islands and Society Islands (French Polynesia), north to Ryukyu Islands (Japan) and Ogasawara Islands (Japan), south to northern Australia, Kermadec Islands and Rapa (French Polynesia). Habitat: marine.
