Paratypes: UMMZ (39, 19 lots). Type catalog: Gilbert 1998:91 [ref. 23395]. •Synonym of Hybopsis dissimilis (Kirtland 1840), but a valid subspecies as described -- (Lee et al. 1980:184 [ref. 22416]). •Valid as Erimystax harryi (Hubbs & Crowe 1956) -- (Gilbert 1998:91 [ref. 23395], Simons 2004:354 [ref. 27695], Nelson et al. 2004:70 [ref. 27807], Scharpf 2005:16 [ref. 28940], Page & Burr 2011:214 [ref. 31215], Page et al. 2013:70 [ref. 32708], Page et al. 2023:69 [ref. 40505]). Current status: Valid as Erimystax harryi (Hubbs & Crowe 1956). Leuciscidae: Pogonichthyinae. Distribution: North America: Missouri and Arkansas (U.S.A.). Habitat: freshwater.
