Paratypes: (34) BMNH 1956.10.9.202-203 (2), 1956.10.9.205-215 (11), 1956.10.9.216-221 (6). Additional material: (6). Type catalog: Ferraris 2007:138 [ref. 29155]. •Valid as Clariallabes petricola Greenwood 1956 -- (Teugels 1986:68 [ref. 6193], Burgess 1989:145 [ref. 12860], Taverne & De Vos 1998:214 [ref. 23316], Seegers et al. 2003:37 [ref. 28087], Ferraris 2007:138 [ref. 29155], Akoth et al. 2023:12 [ref. 40069]). Current status: Valid as Clariallabes petricola Greenwood 1956. Clariidae. Distribution: Lake Victoria and the Victoria Nile, east central Africa. Habitat: freshwater.
