Original as huae but named for the city of Hué, Vietnam; emended by Chevey 1932:9 [ref. 23060] to hueensis. •Synonym of Escualosa thoracata (Valenciennes 1847) -- (Whitehead 1985:119 [ref. 5141] but dated to 1929, Munroe et al. 1999:1795 [ref. 24728]). •Tentatively valid as Chela huae (Tirant 1883) -- (Kottelat 1987:12, 21 [ref. 11434]). •Synonym of Chela laubuca (Hamilton 1822) -- (Kottelat 2001:42 [ref. 25780]). •In genus Laubuca -- (Fang et al. 2009:7 [ref. 29983]). •Synonym of Metzia lineata (Pellegrin 1907) -- (Kottelat 2013:123 [ref. 32989] wih question). Current status: Synonym of Metzia lineata (Pellegrin 1907). Xenocyprididae. Habitat: freshwater, brackish.
