Distribution: Eastern Indian Ocean, western Pacific: Bali (Indonesia) and Sabah (Malaysia) east to Caroline Islands (Micronesia) and Mariana Islands, north to Ryukyu Islands (Japan) and Ogasawara Islands (Japan), south to Western Australia, Queensland (Australia) at 16°30'S, and New Caledonia. Habitat: brackish, marine.
