Not secondarily preoccupied by Barbus intermedius Rüppell 1836, but replaced by Barbus luapulae Fowler 1958. •Incorrectly valid as Raiamas intermedius (Boulenger 1915) -- (Lévêque & Daget 1984:333 [ref. 6186]). •Synonym of Barbus luapulae Fowler 1958 -- (Lévêque & Daget 1984:262 [ref. 6186] with genus as Barbus). •Valid as Raiamas intermedius (Boulenger 1915) -- (Van Steenberge et al. 2014:333 [ref. 33291], Manda et al. 2018:359 [ref. 36210]). Current status: Valid as Raiamas intermedius (Boulenger 1915). Danionidae: Chedrinae. Distribution: Lower Luapula, Lake Mweru and Lake Bangweulu, Democratic Republic of Congo. Habitat: freshwater.
