Specific name is a noun. •Valid as Aspasmogaster liorhynchus Briggs 1955 (often seen as liorhyncha) -- (Kuiter 1993:57 [ref. 23929], Gomon et al. 1994:315 [ref. 22532], Hutchins 2001:22 [ref. 25847], Hoese & Bray 2006:1571 [ref. 29000], Hutchins 2008:732 [ref. 30658], Conway et al. 2018:92 [ref. 36157]). Current status: Valid as Aspasmogaster liorhynchus Briggs 1955. Gobiesocidae. Distribution: Southern Australia: New South Wales to Western Australia. Habitat: marine.
