Holotype (unique): BMNH 1887.12.7.2 (poor condition). Current status: Valid as Centroscyllium granulatum Günther 1887. Etmopteridae. Distribution: Southeastern Pacific: western entrance of Strait of Magellan (Chile EEZ). Habitat: marine.
