Paratypes: UMMZ 186903 (28 or 29). •Synonym of Rhinichthys osculus (Girard 1856), but a valid subspecies as described -- (Gilbert 1998:125 [ref. 23395], Scharpf 2005:39 [ref. 28940] as oligophorus, Page & Burr 2011:206 [ref. 31215]). Current status: Synonym of Rhinichthys osculus (Girard 1856). Leuciscidae: Pogonichthyinae. Distribution: Nevada, U.S.A. [subspecies oligoporus]. Habitat: freshwater.
