Paratypes: USNM 23483 (1, very poor condition), 33457 (1). •Valid as Raja jenseni Bigelow & Schroeder 1950 -- (Scott & Scott 1988:40 [ref. 25518], McAllister 1990:46 [ref. 14674]). •Valid as Amblyraja jenseni (Bigelow & Schroeder 1950) -- (McEachran & Dunn 1998:286 [ref. 23312], Compagno 1999:490 [ref. 25589], Moore et al. 2003:170 [ref. 27076], Møller et al. 2010:16 [ref. 31169], Afonso et al. 2016:12, 81 [ref. 36199], Last et al. 2016:18 [ref. 34941] with remarks, Last et al. 2016:214 [ref. 35000]). Current status: Valid as Amblyraja jenseni (Bigelow & Schroeder 1950). Rajidae. Distribution: North Atlantic: Greenland, western North Atlantic and Mid-Atlantic ridge. Habitat: marine.
