Holotype: ANSP 91177 [ex WIAP 2390]. Paratypes: ANSP 77121 [ex WIAP 2391] (1). Type catalog: Böhlke 1984:34 [ref. 13621]. •Synonym of Lamiopsis temminckii (Müller & Henle 1839) -- (Compagno 1984:512 [ref. 6846] as temmincki). •Valid as Lamiopsis tephrodes (Fowler 1905) -- (White et al. 2010:46 [ref. 30849], Last el al. 2010:120 [ref. 32461], Naylor et al. 2012:28 [ref. 32267], Kottelat 2013:22 [ref. 32989], Weigmann 2016:25 [ref. 34211], Akhilesh et al. 2016:166 [ref. 34829], Gloerfelt-Tarp & Kailola 2022:22 [ref. 41223]). Current status: Valid as Lamiopsis tephrodes (Fowler 1905). Carcharhinidae. Distribution: Western Pacific: Malaysia, Borneo, also Thailand to China; possibly more widespread in the Indo-Malay Archipelago. Habitat: brackish, marine.
