Lectotype selected by Poll 1965:15 [ref. 3526]. •Tentatively valid as Parakneria abbreviata (Pellegrin 1931) -- (Schelly 2007:339 [ref. 30020]). •Valid as Parakneria abbreviata (Pellegrin 1931) -- (Poll 1984:131 [ref. 6180], Fermon et al. 2022:134 [ref. 39448], Mutambala et al. 2022:18 [ref. 39814]). Current status: Valid as Parakneria abbreviata (Pellegrin 1931). Kneriidae. Distribution: Western-central Africa: southern Cameroon and Gabon. Habitat: freshwater.
