Syntypes: MHNG 809.61 (orig. 3, now 1), MNHN 0000-0837 (2). Original not seen. Objectively invalid; preoccupied by Salmo salvelinus var. profundus Schillinger 1901. Replaced by Salvelinus neocomensis Freyhof & Kottelat 2005. •Questionably a synonym of Salvelinus neocomensis Freyhof & Kottelat 2005 -- (Kottelat 1997:154 [ref. 22952]). Current status: Synonym of Salvelinus neocomensis Freyhof & Kottelat 2005. Salmonidae: Salmoninae. Habitat: freshwater.
