zrmanjaensis, Salmo farioides Karaman [S.] 1938:138 [Glasnik Skopskog Nauchnog Drustva [Glasnik -- Bulletin de la Société Scientifique de Skopje]. v. 18; ref. 17197] Zrmanja River near Obrovac and Zegar, former Jugoslavian Republic of Macedonia. Syntypes: whereabouts unknown. •Synonym of Salmo trutta Linnaeus 1758, but a valid subspecies zrmanjaensis Karaman 1938 -- (Mrakovcic et al. 1995:183 [ref. 23079], Ćaleta et al. 2015:85 [ref. 34877]). •Questionably valid as Salmo zrmanjaensis Karaman 1938 -- (Kottelat 1997:143 [ref. 22952]). •Synonym of Salmo farioides Karaman 1938 -- (Bianco 2013:4 [ref. 32897]). •Valid as Salmo zrmanjaensis Karaman 1938 -- (Schöffmann 2021:145 [ref. 38997]). Current status: Valid as Salmo zrmanjaensis Karaman 1938. Salmonidae: Salmoninae. Distribution: Southeastern Europe: Macedonia. Habitat: freshwater.
