Type catalog: Nielsen 1974:29 [ref. 9588] remarks that if holotype was kept in Batavia, it is now lost, if kept in Copenhagen, it is now mixed with the four paratypes and the additional 14 specimens from the type locality. Original genus should have been Harpadon. •Valid as Harpadon mortenseni Hardenberg 1933 -- (Ganga et al. 2016:3 [ref. 34160], Gloerfelt-Tarp & Kailola 2022:77 [ref. 41223]). Current status: Valid as Harpadon mortenseni Hardenberg 1933. Synodontidae: Harpadontinae. Distribution: Eastern Indian Ocean: Bali (Indonesia). Habitat: marine.
