No types known. Described as belonging to subgenus Teretulus, but listed as above. Also in Rafinesque 1820:58 [ref. 3592]. •Not a sucker, synonym of Percina caprodes (Rafinesque 1818), subspecies caprodes -- (Gilbert 1998:182 [ref. 23395]). •Based on a Audubon drawing; mythical; see Markle 1997:446 [ref. 23370]. Current status: Synonym of Percina caprodes (Rafinesque 1818). Percidae: Etheostomatinae. Habitat: freshwater.
