Appeared as a name in synonymy in 1858 and was later validated by Bleeker 1860:147 [ref. 380] as Lobocheilos (Lobocheilos) lehat and by Tirant 1883:170, Pl. 4 [ref. 17921] as Labeo (Tylognathus) lehat, so the name dates to its appearance in synonymy according to ICZN Art. 11.6.1 (see Kottelat & Hui 2008:41 [ref. 29715]). Also appeared in Bleeker 1860:152 [ref. 380].
