Author is M. L. Durbin. Original says 103 specimens, the type of 46 mm. •Valid as Hemigrammus coeruleus Durbin 1908 -- (Lima & Oyakawa in Reis et al. 2003:131 [ref. 27061], Barriga Salazar 2014:107 [ref. 35745], DoNascimiento et al. 2017:48 [ref. 35633]). Current status: Valid as Hemigrammus coeruleus Durbin 1908. Acestrorhamphidae: Pristellinae. Distribution: Amazon River basin: Brazil, Ecuador and Colombia. Habitat: freshwater.
