Distribution: Atlantic slope of southern Costa Rica; Atlantic coastal streams of Panama, San Juan, Atrato, Dagua, and Patia rivers, and around mouth of Magdalena River; Esmeraldas River: Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador and Panama. Habitat: freshwater.
